Blue Collar Budget started as a passion project by a single developer. It was originally built over a decade ago and has been in use personally ever since. It's gotten close to being commercially released a few times, but never quite made it out in front of the world. Now, we hope to share this tool and bring easy budgetting to as many people as possible.

A Need For Simplicity

Blue Collar Budget was built with the idea that budgets can be simple and fast. Most budgetting is as simple as "how much money am I earning and how much do I need to spend?". Anyone who's ever lived paycheck to paycheck can tell you that it's not always that simple. The money you have today might not be enough to pay the bills, but next week you get paid and everything is fine. You may not be able to fill up the gas tank today without causing a late fee on that credit card payment you'll miss.

Sensible and Fair

I've always believed that a budget tool is pointless if it costs tons of money, or is constantly throwing products at you that will simply get you further into debt. I'll always work hard to keep the free tier of Blue Collar Budget available, and keep ads away. Along with that, I'll always be looking for ways to make the paid tier worth the cost.
